Real Estate Clubs can be a great place. Depending on where you are in life and what you are looking for you are more likely to find others with similar interests that you have. Some people look to buy land, others homes, some Commercial Properties, and usually there are other events that occur where speakers will come in and talk on a variety of different subjects.

While I believe real estate clubs are great places to learn a lot, make new friends and business connections, and possibly buy investments from. I want to be clear that many real estate clubs are established as a business and need to make money. So, if there is a particular deal and just because you know the individuals at the club…as in many of my articles, I’m telling you to DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. So, this may be by reading carefully the investment opportunity and having any questions that you don’t understand answered, talking to other experts in the area where the investment is located who is not part of the deal, and making sure that the investment truly makes sense. You also want to make sure it fits with your financial goals of say obtaining x number of single family residences. Don’t let real estate clubs tell you where to put your money without you being sure it works for you.
Choosing Which Real Estate Clubs To Be A Member Of
You should contact one or more of the real estate clubs that are near you and see if they are still running. Also, find out what the cost of the real estate clubs memberships fees cost and what they usually charge, if anything, for special speakers that stop by from time to time.
Benefits of Real Estate Clubs
I can personally say I have learned a lot from speakers that attend the real estate clubs. I have learned some expensive lessons that hopefully you don’t get into as try to outline what I have learned in the articles that I write. I have made a number of business partners, and learned that with time peoples’ lives change and so do business partners….sometimes its’ good and other times you find out people are much more into money than relationships. I believe it’s easier to make money while friendships and business partnerships are harder to keep over long periods of time as people change in what they want in life…however, through time you find those individuals that you can trust. To not digress much further on this…I do believe real estate partnerships require much more of an understanding of who is involved and you want to make sure you have everything spelled out in the contract and that there is a meeting of the minds in conversation of what you plan to do. Overall, Real Estate Clubs give you the chance to find again like minded individuals and whether you do invest in a partnership, or as an individual buying (which would be my strong preference), you at least have more opportunities available to you.
